Teen Scene offers a 12-week outpatient program that includes the following services:

1. Five and a half hours of group counseling per week

2. Free monthly parent education group

3. Random weekly drug testing

4. 12 Step materials to help teens learn about sobriety

The three weekly groups take place on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-9:00. The groups are as follows:

Tuesdays - Teen Education
Tuesdays - Parent Education
Wednesdays - Multi-Family
Fridays - 12 step support

Teen Education --
Tuesday nights will consist of discussing topics such as: self-esteem, anger management, stress management, conflict resolution, effective communication and goal setting.

Multi-Family --
This is a dynamic group in which all kids and their parents participate in a group setting. It provides an opportunity to learn how to improve the function of the family and everyone's roles in that family. It is a great time to get enouragement from other families who are going through the same process.

12 Step Support --
This group will help to educate teens about why people use drugs, what the definition of addiction is, how to avoid relapse, what the risks are of using drugs and tips on how to stay clean and sober. They will be offered “chips” for the amount of clean time that they attain. Alumni of Teen Scene may continue to attend this meeting from 8-9 pm indefinitely, at no cost.

Parent Education --
The first Tuesday of every month there is a Parent Education group offered to parents of the kids in the Teen Scene program as well as alumni parents. This optional group is available so that the parents can have a forum, without their teenagers present, to discuss issues happening in their household. It is offered from 7:00-8:30pm while their teens are in group. It is an interactive group led by a therapist with occasional guest speakers. Alumni parents of Teen Scene are able to participate in this group indefinitely, at no cost.
